Monday Motivation: Open This If You Feel "Burnout"

Hey Reader,

It's Monday again, but don't let that discourage you!

Recently, my husband blessed me in an unexpected way. He encouraged me to book a hotel and spend the weekend alone just to recharge. As an introvert, I can’t even explain how much I needed that time. But here’s the thing—I used to feel guilty about taking a break.

Maybe you can relate?

I’ve since learned that stepping away isn’t selfish; it’s actually necessary for our well-being. In fact, even Jesus withdrew from the crowds to spend time alone in prayer (Luke 5:16).

If the son of God needed time away, how much more do we?

In my latest blog post, I share how taking that break renewed my soul, and I want to encourage you to do the same. I’ve also included 5 simple ways to incorporate rest into your daily routine, even if it’s just a few minutes here and there.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed or drained, this is your reminder to take a step back and breathe. You can read the full post here.

Let’s not wait until we’re completely worn out to care for ourselves. God created rest for a reason. He wants to restore our souls, but we have to make space for it.

So,

schedule it,

prioritize it,

and most importantly—enjoy it!

I pray this post blesses and encourages you today.

Have an amazing week on purpose, Reader!

Hey Reader, I pray this email finds you in good spirits. Recently, I had one of those moments where God speaks so clearly that you just know it’s not just for you—it’s a word that needs to be shared. I was sitting in my car, minding my business, when I remembered a worship song at church the previous sunday. The song wasn’t new, but the words hit me as if they were written just for me at that moment. After finding it on Apple Music, without warning, I found myself having a full-on worship...

Dear Most Gentle Readers 😜 I hope this message finds you well! 😊 (Who else here is a Bridgerton fan? We need to talk about season 3!) I've been quiet lately, and for good reason—a few weeks ago, I welcomed my precious baby girl into the world! And she is absolutely perfect. This has been an incredible blessing, especially after years of waiting and praying. Although I'm overjoyed, there are bittersweet moments, too, as my new daughter resembles her angelic sister, Journey, whom we miss...

Hey Reader, I pray you are doing well. In April, we are checking in. April is all about checking in on the goals you set for 2024. Do you remember them? Do you have them written down somewhere, perhaps in a journal or sticky notes? (If you need a journal, check out our collection HERE) Anyhoo, How many times have we uttered the words, “Next year will be the year I…” only to find ourselves stuck in the same patterns of procrastination and unfulfilled dreams? I can relate all too well. But...
